ABB Integrator Partner Seminar in Finland 2015

YEO attended ABB’s annual Integrator Partner Seminar 2015. Around 100 professionals attended the IPS Seminar held by ABB in Vaasa, Finland. The ABB event was focused on highlighting the business value in this year’s presentations, including suggested hot topics such as smart grid applications and modern substations on the agenda. This year the traditional workshops included technical, business as well as service & after sales tracks.

 

YEO is once again proud to announce its achievements. YEO was nominated as “THE BEST PROMOTER” by ABB Power Systems Division. ABB’s Power Systems division serves utilities, as well as industrial and commercial customers with system solutions and services for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity.

ABB Substation Automation ProductsTechnical Expert Visits YEO

YEO Headquarters, February 12, 2015, ABB's Substation Automation Products Senior Technical Expert, Mr. Sven-Olof Löfgren from Sweden has paid a visit at YEO's head office together with the ABB Turkey Substation Automation Products Sales Team.

Mr. Sven had a meeting with some of the Software engineers of YEO and discussed about the trends and updates and related technical matters with the group. A brief workshop visit followed the meeting. 

ABB Control Technologies Product Training update in February 2015

February 3, 2015, YEO Engineering Team had their training update for ABB's Control Systems and Technologies Products headed by Şenol from ABB Turkey. The training was part of ABB's support to its Channel Partners not only to assists their customers to optimize the maintenance of their installed control system, but it also helps plan the training of their operators. 

ABB continues to deliver top of the line training programs that offer “mission” critical information to its customers.Training programs are offered both in the classroom and on-line, or a combination of both, in a blended learning solution. Its classroom training is led by training professionals utilizing lecture, demonstration and hands-on exercises. Classes are typically held at ABB's University or at the manufacturing and training center, but also can be held regionally or at customer or partners site. 

Taha Wind Power Plant Energy SCADA Project

Taha Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant Energy SCADA Project in Mardin, Turkey backed by AK Enerji to provide its customers a carbon-free emission using modern, environment friendly and high-tech products in its facilities, in accordance with its aim of environment friendly production and proper use of resources.

Akenerji is the first power generation company founded as an auto-producer group in Turkey. One of the Turkish power sector’s biggest players, Akenerji is an integrated power company operating in wholesale energy trade and retail electricity sales, in addition to power generation with partnership between Akkök and the Czech power company ČEZ with an equal-part strategic joint venture.

Since 2005, Akenerji has concentrated on generation investments based on renewable power resources, to attain resource diversity in generation. It reaches renewable power resource based generation capacity of 388 MW in total by means of hydroelectric plants and wind plants, entering operation gradually. After the Egemer-Erzin Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant, which alone has the capacity to meet 2.6 % of Turkey’s power need, started operations in July 2014, Akenerji’s total generation capacity reached 1,292 MW. Akenerji alone will be generating a considerable part of Turkey’s power generation upon completion of the Kemah HEPP that is expected to generate about 560 DWh of electricity per annum.

Bağarası and Odemis Wind Power Plant Energy SCADA Projects

Bağarası and Odemis Wind Power Plants Energy SCADA Project acquired in 2015 by YEO as a sub-contracting job with work inclusions of Supply of  SCADA, Software engineering, testing and commissioning works on both wind farms.

“Bagarasi” is located in Aydin, 90 kilometres south east of Izmir, close to the Aegan coast of Turkey. At its altitude of up to 800 metres, mean annual wind speeds are what by Turkish standards is a low 6.6 m/s. Nordex has delivered 20 N117/2400 turbines for the “Bagarasi” wind farm to Erdem Holding that includes a premium-service contract for a minimum period of five years.

Accordingly, the N117/2400 turbine is to be used. With its design, this turbine is specifically configured for locations with light average wind speeds. Nordex has supplied the turbines on towers with a hub height of 91 metres. When it goes into operation with 20 turbines in 2015, the 48 MW wind farm will generate 130,000 MWh of clean electricity.

As already stated, Erdem Holding also ordered seven N117/3000 Generation Delta turbines for the “Odemis” wind farm which is located close to the “Bagarasi” wind farm. With the completion of “Bagarasi” and Odemis Wind Power Plants in 2015, Nordex will have installed more than 1040 MW in Turkey.

Urla Wind Power Plant Energy SCADA Project

YEO has expanded its horizons and technical expertise in providing solutions and acquiring projects in Renewable Energy Systems for the Wind Power Generating Plants in Turkey. 

Sancak Enerji, holding license to a total of 133.5 MW of Wind Energy projects, has signed a framework agreement for turbine supply and service with Nordex Energy GmbH.The first deal includes delivery of six Generation Delta N117/3000 wind turbines for the Urla wind farm, developed by Sancak Enerji in Izmir.

The 6 pieces of N117 3.0 MW turbines for Urla WES project with 18 MW of installation capacity has begun construction in July 2014 at the latest, and plans to begin power generation in first quarter of 2015. Sancak Enerji targets to expand its portfolio and reach 1000 MW of installation capacity by 2025.

Cokal Dam Water Distribution Line Electrical Automation Project

Cokal Dam Water Distribution Line Electrical and Automation Project is another project backed by DSI or the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works in Turkey. The project acquisition took effect at the first quarter of 2015. 

Cokal Dam is located in Canakkale, Turkey and is under development funded by the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works to primarily serve as reservoirs to suppress floods as well as provide ample and equal distribution and supply of water for various needs in the districts of Canakkale that includes the irrigation systems, agriculture, domestic consumption and industrial use. 

Scope of work: Supply, Production and Installation of PLC ,MCC, MDP, Compensation and Drive panels. Software, engineering,, commissioning, testing and training will be part of the project implementation.

Sanliurfa Water Treatment and Distribution Line Electrical and Automation Project

The water treatment plant  and distribution project have been developed by DSI General Directorate who is responsible for the domestic and industrial water supply to 45 cities in Turkey with a population of more than 100,000 in which Sanliurfa is included and is presently in progress.

The master plan, feasibility study, final design, and construction work of water supply projects are continuing. After the completion of the construction works, these facilities will be transferred to the related municipality. Water supply projects developed by DSİ have met one third of domestic and industrial water consumption requirements so far wherein 2 billion cubic meters of water annually is treated in treatment plants in accordance with European standards. 

Şanlıurfa or Urfa Province is also its capital in southeastern,Turkey with a population of 1,845,667 (2015 census).This very large-scale, state-sponsored development project involved the damming, redirecting, hydroelectric tapping and other utilization of rivers in this broad, semi-arid region. Şanlıurfa Province had the largest share of cultivated and cultivable land in the GAP region, due to its flatness and highly fertile, agricultural land. The Şanlıurfa and Harran Plains extend over an area of about 1,500 km² (579 sq. miles). Irrigating these plains is one of the most important components of GAP(Güneydoğu Anadolu Projesi) or the Southeastern Anatolia Project. 

Scope of work includes: Production, supply and Installation of PLC, MCC, MDP and Compensation panels. All electrical design and engineering works, Supply of MV switchgears and transformers, Software engineering, testing, commissioning and training.  

EUAŞ Tunçbilek Power Plant Ash Conveyor System Automation Project

EUAŞ Tunçbilek Brown Coal Thermal Power Plant with a power output of 365 MW which is about 2,632,610.00 MWh Its Ash Conveyor System Automation project has been acquired by YEO in 2014. 

Scope of work: Supply, Production and Installation of PLC and MCC panels. Engineering works, software, commissioning, testing and training.

ISKI Tuzla Biological WWT Sludge Digestion System Modernization Project

ISKI Tuzla Biologic WWT Sludge Digestion System Modernization Project has been acquired by YEO in 2014. 

Scope of work:  Supply, Production and Installation of PLC and MCC panels. Software, engineering, testing and commissioning.

Hovsan Wastewater Treatment Plant Automation System Project

The objective of the Hovsan Wastewater Treatment Automation Project for Azerbaijan is to improve in a measurable way the quality, standards and supply of water to the municipality and to its outfall in the coastal waters of Baku metropolitan region. 

Hövsan (also, Gousan, Gousany, Goussan, and Govsan) is a municipality in Baku, Azerbaijan with a population of 38,257. The “Azersu” Joint Stock Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan has put into effect the realization of this project with all due concerns to the environment and the domestic at large. The project commenced in 2013 with on-going works.

Scope of work includes: Production, supply and Installation of PLC, MCC, MDP and Compensation panels. All electrical design and engineering works, Supply of MV switchgears and transformers, Software engineering, testing, commissioning and training.

Tovuz Wastewater Treatment Plant Turnkey Electrical and Automation Project

Tovuz Wastewater treatment plant is located in Tovuz, Azerbaijan. It is to be recalled that an Action Plan to accelerate the socioeconomic development of the regions of Azerbaijan. 

The implementation of the project on reconstruction of the water supply and sewage systems of Tovuz city primarily intended to meet water needs of the district center. Currently, the third phase of water and sewage project in Tovuz region has been completed. At this stage of construction,the  wastewater treatment plant has a capacity of 7000 cubic meters per day in Tovuz region. Installation of technological systems have almost been completed with only a few more commissioning and training works to be done. 

Scope of work: Production, supply and Installation of PLC, MCC, MDP and Compensation panels. All electrical design and engineering works including Supply of MV switchgears and transformers, Software engineering, testing, commissioning and training.

New irrigation project with DSI in Antalya, Turkey  ABB and YEO have successfully set up a new monitoring and control system for a water utility in Turkey. Pdf 

New irrigation project with DSI in Antalya, Turkey to be realized with RTU solution

2013-10-14 - RTU511 boosts the water network to meet the rising demand of an upcoming area.

ABB’s RTU team and our Partner YEO is happy to announce the successful project set up for a water utility in Turkey. Due to an increased demand and a lack of water canals the complete water network for the irrigation of the region around Korkuteli in Antalya should be modernized.

The irrigation in the region of Korkuteli was set up as an open network with irrigation canals from Korkuteli Dam. With a growing population and an aging irrigation structure the provision of water forall could not be guaranteed. So for the modernization of the pipeline of 250 km length, ABB provides 631 units of RTU511, the new compact and cost-efficient product of the RTU500 series. 

Within the project the RTUs will collect and monitor the data of local processes among the pipeline and transmit those data via VPN connection to the SCADA system. This will allow the water utility to effectively control the water passage and thus minimize the water loss.

Thanks to ABB‘s high product quality and the excellent local support from YEO, the good relationship with the customer allowed this ground-breaking deal to be initialized.The modernization of the water network will lead to a minimization of water losses and allow an expansion of the canals within the residential areas.

With this project the water utility customer and the complete region around Korkuteli will profit from an extensive and effective irrigation system which will meet the increasing demand of a growing population.
